Junshan Island is the biggest island in the Dongting Lake. It is also called China’s “Island of Love”. This is where the story Liu Yi Delivering Letters of the Tang Dynasty happened. In the story, Liu Yi, a scholar, delivered messages for the daughter of a Chinese Dragon King who was abused by her husband. After the rescue, the daughter fell in love with and married Liu Yi. Main tourist attractions include Liu Yi Well, Mausoleum of Ehuang and Nvying, Love Museum, Love Wall, Love Forest, Feilai Bell and Spotted Bamboo Forest.
